Course Description

In this 4-week intensive online course, you will learn best practices in creating a professional self-recorded acting audition video to enhance your application for college theater programs or other professional acting opportunities. Topics include audition techniques, selecting the right monologues, setting up the recording space, preparing for your recorded performance, and ensuring the quality of your video and audio recording. Class critiques and discussions will provide constructive and individualized feedback.

Learner Outcomes

In this course you will: 

  • gain an understanding of best practices in preparing and recording a video audition
  • learn about the common mistakes emerging artists make in audition recordings 
  • learn how to create a recording that showcases your unique talents and abilities 
  • gain valuable feedback on your performance recording before submitting your application

Prerequisites

You must be 18 years old or older to take part in this workshop.
