Summer Residencies

Students enrolled in Summer Animation Residency may purchase optional on-campus housing in Ahmanson Hall; apartment-style suites, consisting of five or six bedrooms with a shared kitchen, bath and furnished living room. A microwave, cookware, dishes and eating utensils are provided for summer guests. Each bedroom has an extra-long twin bed, desk, desk chair, dresser, built-in closet, and wall bookshelf. It also includes high-speed internet access.

Students enrolled in the English for the Creative Arts program may purchase optional on-campus housing in Chouinard Hall for incoming BFA students or Monticello for incoming MFA students. All housing for this program is double-occupancy and is priced per person.

Housing Registration

Summer Housing is available for all students enrolled in the Extended Studies Summer Animation Residency and English for the Creative Arts program. A few days after enrolling, you will receive an email with your SSO (single-sign on) login credentials.

Follow the process below to register for housing:

- Pay the Housing Fee under Special Requests.

- Complete the Housing Registration by logging into sso.calarts.edu and clicking on the Residence app.

 

Refund and Cancellation Policies for Summer Housing

You may cancel a reservation by submitting a written notice via email to extendedstudies@calarts.edu before the deadline.

Cancellation requests made before the specified date will receive a full Housing Fee refund. For requests after this deadline, no refunds will be granted. If you are not admitted to a summer program but have paid for housing, a full refund will be provided.
